The outreach services consist of family Violence and/or sexual assault case management work and legal advice. Binaal Billa’s community support workers take a holistic approach to case management when providing assistance to clients and our values include providing a wraparound service to all clients ensuring they are offered the best support.

Binaal Billa Family Violence Prevention Legal Service is funded by the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and overseen by NIAA (National Indigenous Australians Agency) to provide Legal Assistance, Advice & Advocacy to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander victims of Family Violence and/ or sexual assault. Yoorana Gunya Family Healing Centre Aboriginal Corporation is the auspice of Binaal Billa FVPLS.
Binaal Billa recognises that our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are reluctant and do not often report family violence because of fear of losing their children, housing, fear of authorities, the surrounding stigma, shame and many more reasons. Binaal Billa’s mission is to erase this stigma and provide support, services, and community education to our outreach areas to assist our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of family violence children and families. We want to work with our community to erase the stigma and shame, build resilience and ensure there are culturally appropriate and safe services.
All artworks that are featured on Binaal Billa’s website and flyers are painted by local Wiradjuri man Tim Acheson.
