Binaal Billa Family Violence prevention Legal Service has teamed up with Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains Community Legal centre to provide families in Forbes and Binaal Billa service areas with support in child-protection matters.
Binaal Billa and CTBMLC offer advice and representation to parents and guardians about their children when there is involvement with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ). Please note: In relation to child protection matters, it is extremely important, and in your best interests, to get legal advice as soon as DCJ make contact with you.
Binaal Billa support staff and CTBMLC can provide assistance with meeting and communicating with DCJ to support you with understanding Agreements and orders, We also provide this support with early intervention to prevent escalation. CTBMLC can also provide advice regarding any issues with contact visits and communication with or about the child/ren when the children have been placed into DCJ care or under guardianship they will also inform you of your rights throughout this process to ensure that you are being treated fairly.

This service can be offered before and after children have been placed into DCJ care.
